Garrick USA

Our origins date back to 1921 when Richard Bramley founded an engineering company in Auckland, New Zealand. Philip Herbert bought the company in 1954 and commenced production of small engineering machine tools under the BRAMLEY brand. Shortly afterwards he started the company D.J Garrick & Co Ltd to market the Bramley range and other allied product. He used his wife's maiden name for this marketing company and this is where the "GARRICK" identity was started.

In 1981, exports of BRAMLEY product grew to the stage where Philip's youngest son, Myles moved to Sydney to establish Garrick Herbert Pty Ltd as a local base for distribution of the range throughout Australia. "LINISHALL", the leading manufacturer of belt grinding machinery was purchased in 1991 and component design & manufacture was incorporated into the Bramley factory's program.

Selected products were then sourced from overseas, using the design and engineering expertise of the New Zealand personnel to develop a range that meets our demanding quality & presentation requirements.

The BRAMLEY products have been exported to the USA since the early 1980's, but, once again, growth meant a local USA base was required to stock product and give local service. Therefore, in 2011 Garrick USA LLC was established.

The Kiwi bird incorporated into our logo is a flightless bird, native to New Zealand, and is used internationally to identify association with New Zealand. New Zealand people are also often colloquially known as "Kiwis".

The products shown are only an introduction to our much larger range of quality industrial small machine tools and other products will steadily be introduced to the Garrick USA range in the near future.
